Eric D. Sinns, President, co-founded Sinns & Thomas Electrical Contractors, Inc. with Bill Thomas in 1996. Prior to this endeavor, Eric spent sixteen years at Behe & Umholtz, starting out of college and working his way up to a managerial position in the Industrial Electric Division. Under his direction, Sinns & Thomas, the “Heavy Duty” Industrial Electrical Contractor, has experienced great growth and economic success, providing the highest standard in our field.

BILL THOMAS

William (Bill) Thomas is Vice President and co-founder of Sinns and Thomas Electrical Contractors Inc. Bill began his career as an apprentice in the shipbuilding industry, and then worked for various industrial contractors in the Central Florida area, managing and supervising numerous water and wastewater facilities as well as power production plants. After working together for many years, he and Eric Sinns partnered in 1996 to bring the highest level of quality and service to the Industrial Electrical Industry. Their complimentary management styles and shared motivation to provide the best product, on schedule, and within budget, provide the balance and drive behind Sinns & Thomas’ success.

JAKE ILES

Lead Estimator, David (Jake) Iles, has over 39 years’ electrical experience of all types, holding positions from project foreman to superintendent to project manager. He has been estimating multi-million dollar projects for Sinns and Thomas since February 2002. Jake has the great responsibility of acquiring the work that provides continuing employment for the rest of the Sinns & Thomas team.

BARRY BUCKMAN

Barry Buckman joined Sinns and Thomas as an estimator in February of 2006. He is an electrical engineering graduate of the University of Central Florida. With 10 years of prior electrical contracting experience, Barry is responsible for multi-million dollar estimates and, like Jake, has been keeping Sinns & Thomas on top through tough economic times.

MIKE SEIPLE

Mike Seiple is Sinns & Thomas’s newest Estimator, with over four years’ estimating experience. Mike is an Alumnus of the University of Central Florida, and has successfully completed Tom Henry’s Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, and Business Law classes. Mike is willing to take on any task and his motivation is contagious. He is also one of Sinns & Thomas’ Certified Photovoltaic Designers and Installers.

With over 22 years experience in the Industrial Electrical trade, Dave Metzler has served as Sinns & Thomas’ Purchasing Manager for over 10 years. He continually goes beyond the responsibilities of the conventional Purchasing Agent to make sure that every aspect of the project goes right. Dave is integral to the success of Sinns & Thomas.

Kelly Young joined Sinns & Thomas as Controller in April 2011. Kelly is a 2009 graduate of Seminole State College, and brings with her over 14 years’ experience in Construction/Finance with expertise’s in setting up and directing accounting departments, system reviews and financial reporting.

Megan Schmitt began working in the Sinns & Thomas purchasing department in 2006. Her willingness to grow in her position has resulted in a much-expanded role, including responsibilities in Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Human Resources. DONALD HOESMAN

Prior to joining Sinns & Thomas in 2001, Project Superintendent Donald Hoesman spent 24 years managing and supervising multi-million dollar industrial electrical projects across the state of Florida. Co-Owner, Eric Sinns, was Donald’s Apprentice for several years, during which he learned the proper way to do things. Donald and Eric won the ABC Apprentice-of-the-Year award for the State of Florida for their respective graduation years, one of many of Donald’s accolades. Donald is also one of Sinns & Thomas’ Certified Photovoltaic Designers and Installers.

RONALD ROWE

Ron Rowe has over thirty years’ experience in the electrical construction trade. He has a wide range of experience, including underground, generator installations, as well as shuttle launch pad, oil refinery, environmental and heavy industrial work. Ron has been an Area Superintendent with Sinns & Thomas since 1999. He has the ability to get the most out of his crew and, as a result, gets all of the tough jobs. Ron’s supervision is frequently requested by Sinns & Thomas’ Clients.

ERIC WOOLF

Eric Woolf has over 25 years’ experience in electrical contracting, including 20 years in industrial electrical, and 12 as Area Superintendent with Sinns & Thomas. Eric can successfully manage several projects at the same time. He is a great communicator who always gets the most for his customer and crew, and has been instrumental in the training and grooming of some of Sinns & Thomas’ most promising young electricians.

RANDY BEHE

Randy Behe has been a Project Superintendent with Sinns and Thomas for over six years. A Journeyman Electrician since 1987, Randy has specialized in water and wastewater facilities for over 20 years. Randy and Eric Sinns went through the apprenticeship program together and were both greatly influenced by Randy’s father and Eric’s mentor, Bob Behe. Randy is quickly becoming one of Sinns & Thomas’ top Superintendants.

TOBY SINGLETON

Medium Voltage Specialist, Toby Singleton, has over seventeen years’ experience in heavy industrial projects such as power stations, refineries, paper mills, sub stations, water and wastewater facilities throughout the country, and is Sinns & Thomas’ Certified Infrared Thermographer for infrared inspections. When Toby came on board he brought new projects with him. His knowledge of medium- and high-voltage has earned him the respect of local municipalities and generator manufacturers, which often request his services.

BUTCH WESTBROOK

Butch Westbrook joined Sinns & Thomas in 2002 and was promoted to Project Superintendent in 2004. He has 37 years’ experience in the construction industry - 35 in the electrical trade and 12 in the industrial division. Butch doesn’t mind getting down and dirty, which is highly appreciated in our business. He effectively pushes the troops to the benefit of Sinns & Thomas and our Clients.

JOSH THOMAS

Josh Thomas has worked summers and part-time at Sinns & Thomas since 1996, while attending high school and then serving in the United States Coast Guard as a shipboard electrician’s mate and marine electrical trouble shooter. He joined Sinns & Thomas full-time in 2009, with duties varying from assisting with medium voltage termination and testing, to installing all systems involved with water and wastewater facility wiring. Josh is one of the “young guns” who represent the future of Sinns & Thomas. He is also one of our Certified Photovoltaic Designers and Installers.

Mike Street began as an Apprentice with Sinns & Thomas in 2003, and has worked his way up to Project Superintendent in the years since. Mike is another of our young guns, and has learned to properly run a project in an amazingly short amount of time under the tutelage of Area Superintendent, Eric Woolf.
